We have bases all over the UK, Isle of Man and the Channel Islands (Guernsey & Jersey), so you can work locally, within 60 minutes of where you live.

We have Cabin Crew based at the following locations: Aberdeen, Belfast, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Exeter, Glasgow, Guernsey, Inverness, Isle of Man, Jersey, Manchester, Newcastle, Norwich and Southampton.

Minimum requirements

Minimum age
18

Height/Weight
Minimum of 5 ft 2 in (157cm), maximum 6 ft 2 in (188 cm) with weight in proportion to height to enable you to wear the standard cabin crew safety harness.

Appearance
You will be provided with the Company uniform and therefore you should be well presented with excellent standards of grooming and no visible tattoos.

Passport
Applicants will either need to be in possession of a full, valid EU passport with no restrictions or for non-EU passport holders, a valid work permit/visa that allows entry to all Flybe destinations. 

Health
A good level of health is essential to cope with the demands of flying.

Swimming
Candidates must be confident in water and be able to swim at least 25 metres unaided.

Education
You must have a minimum of 3 GCSE’s grade C (or equivalent).  This would ideally include Maths and English. 

Work experience
Have a minimum of 6 months face-to-face customer service experience, ideally in the sales and service industry.

Residential requirements
Successful applicants must live within 60 minutes travelling time to their base (home) airport.

Driving licence
You must have a full, valid Driving Licence as you may be required on occasion to drive a hire car between airport bases.

Direct Entry Senior Cabin Crew

Minimum requirements
If you meet the above requirements and also have a minimum of 1 year’s previous, recent, flying experience as Senior Cabin Crew on a multi-crewed aircraft and are able to demonstrate strong leadership skills, then you may be able to apply for one of our Direct Entry Senior Cabin Crew positions.

Training

If successful you will be provided with comprehensive training and will get paid whilst you learn.  You will be given a place on Flybe’s intensive 4-week Cabin Crew training course at our Training School in Exeter with transport and accommodation provided.  The course will include aircraft safety exams, fire drills, lifesaving and First Aid.    All new entrant cabin crew will also study for a City & Guilds NVQ level 2 qualification in Aviation Operations in the Air. This is a fully-funded nationally recognised vocational qualification which is equivalent to 5 GCSE's 

Career path

We have a clear career path for Cabin Crew and after 1 year’s experience you can apply for a Senior Cabin Crew position, which means that you are in charge of the Cabin.  Then you could become a Cabin Crew Trainer or one of our In-flight Services Recruitment Officers.  You could also help to build, manage and shape the team as a Performance Manager or Cabin Crew Regional Manager.

Recruitment days

We have Recruitment Days all over the UK. These consist of a “meet and greet”, information on what it is like to be cabin crew, group exercises and a short maths and english test.  If you are successful at this stage you will be invited to stay for a one-to-one interview.
